Sunil Gadgil
Dr. Sunil Gadgil is an accomplished saxophonist, renowned for his solo performances with esteemed ensembles including Conspirare, Tex Sax, and the University of Texas Wind Ensemble. His saxophone virtuosity has graced stages worldwide, from Europe to Asia, and across the US with groups like REVEL and the Elision and Tipping Point Saxophone Quartets. A collaborator with Austin and San Antonio Symphonies, he has also contributed to noteworthy recordings on labels like Naxos and Crystal. Teaching saxophone, clarinet, and general music at Prairie View A&M University, Gadgil holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree mentored by Harvey Pittel, focusing on the saxophone's role in South Indian Carnatic classical music.
