YOYOKA is an internationally recognized drummer whose extraordinary talent has captivated audiences worldwide from a remarkably young age. Born in Hokkaido, Japan, she began playing drums at just one year old, started performing live at four, and formed a family band at five. At eight, her explosive cover of Led Zeppelin’s “Good Times Bad Times” went viral and drew praise from Robert Plant, launching her onto the global stage.She has appeared twice on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, was named the youngest drummer ever selected to Drummerworld’s “Top 500 Drummers,” and became the youngest honoree in Newsweek Japan’s list of “100 Japanese People the World Respects.” YOYOKA has performed with artists including Cyndi Lauper, Fall Out Boy, Jack Black, MIYAVI, and members of Jamiroquai, and has earned admiration from icons such as Ian Paice, Chad Smith, Tom Morello, Bootsy Collins, Anderson .Paak, and Dave Grohl.In 2022, YOYOKA relocated to the United States to further pursue her musical career, later moving to Los Angeles to expand her professional work. In 2024, she signed with Ludwig Drums and released her debut album For Teen, featuring collaborations with Narada Michael Walden and other acclaimed musicians. The release was celebrated with a sold-out headline concert in Hollywood.Balancing live performance, recording, original music releases, radio hosting, and international appearances, YOYOKA continues to evolve as a dynamic young artist with global impact.
