Description
In 1931, William Teasdale Armstrong, a highly respected craftsman and a C.G. Conn shop foreman, founded his small flute repair shop in Elkhart, Indiana. Built on a foundation of trust and Armstong heritage passed from father to son, Armstrong’s craftsmanship and attention to detail secured a foothold as a quality flute manufacturer. Known for a crisp response and ease of playing, Armstrong flutes are designed for durability and a superb playing experience.
The Armstrong AFL301 premium flute features silver-plated, Japanese nickel silver head joint, body and key work with pointed arms, offset G, and closed holes. With a multi-tapered bore for optimal acoustic response and resonance, the head joint features a sharp blowing edge of the embouchure hole that creates a fast, easy response and articulation. Great for the beginning student due to its effortless playability, the head joint design features elegant under and over cutting to provide easy first tones that are rich, expressive, and even throughout all registers. Featuring refined pointed arms, the key work is hand assembled to create a feather-light, lightning-fast and fluid key action. Every Armstrong flute is professionally set up, play-tested, and adjusted at the Conn-Selmer Center for Woodwind Excellence located in Elkhart, Indiana, USA to ensure each flute is received in optimal, professional adjustment and ready to last a lifetime.
