Description
With over 135 years experience making the world's highest quality woodwind instruments, Selmer brings that acquired knowledge, dedication, and passion to its SPC411 intermediate piccolos. Selmer’s commitment to quality and innovation ensures that each piccolo delivers the best performance experience no matter where you perform.
Features
The SPC411 intermediate piccolo features a Grenadite™ headjoint and body. Grenadite is a proprietary blend of 6 different materials, with the largest percentage being Grenadilla wood, providing greater depth, richness, and variety to the tonal spectrum than standard ABS resin. It is also more sturdy, durable, and stable against variation in atmospheric extremes such as temperature and humidity than 100% Grenadilla wood. The SPC411 headjoint is hand-cut and built to respond effortlessly, providing easy first tones that are warm, expressive, and even throughout all registers. The silver-plated keywork is hand-assembled to the same specifications as our professional piccolos with carefully adjusted springs creating a light, fast, and fluid key action. These piccolos also feature Pisoni pads for long-lasting pad seating and stability. The conical bore combined with the carefully designed tone hole system produces an incredibly in tune piccolo with outstanding resonance. Every Selmer piccolo is professionally set up, play-tested, and optimally adjusted at the Conn-Selmer Woodwind Center located in Elkhart, Indiana.
