From velocity-driven splits to full ensemble swells, Ultimate 2 Tenors are built for speed, balance, and tone. 100% North American maple shells with RFST construction ensure consistency and durability across the entire set. A 5ply, 1.5" reinforcement ring tightens focus and raises the ceiling for aggressive tuning, while 45° bearing edges with a 1/8" round-over deliver clean, immediate attack and a broad dynamic range. Featuring Randall May Free-Floating Lug Bridges, all mounting hardware installs without drilling additional holes into the shell, enhancing sonic properties and reducing overall weight.
The Ultimate 2 features enhanced hardware designed to elevate performance, including new tension rods, triple-flanged hoops, and lug casings. The shell construction has been redesigned for superior strength with a new re-ring joint and re-rings on 6” and 8” drums to prolong performance. A wider range of finish options is available to really personalize your drumline. Choose from a new selection of lacquer or drum wrap finishes, along with your choice of Polished Aluminum or Liquid Black hardware via our custom order configurator.
