Conn Selmer Announces Changes to
Institutional, Educational, and Marketing Leadership
Elkhart, IN – June 16, 2025 – Conn Selmer, a leading manufacturer and distributor of musical instruments, today announced several leadership transitions within its Division of Education, Institutional Sales, and Marketing Communications teams.

Michael Kamphuis Promoted to Senior Vice President of the Division of Education (DOE)
Michael Kamphuis has been promoted to Senior Vice President of the Division of Education. With 24 years of dedicated service to the company and extensive industry experience, Michael has been a driving force behind advancing the DOE’s mission to support music educators and ensure every student has access to high-quality music education.
In his expanded role, he will lead the Division of Education, overseeing partnerships, events, and initiatives that address the evolving needs of today’s music educators and create opportunities for growth. He will also continue to lead the Artist Relations and Marketing teams, championing Conn Selmer’s world-class artists, clinicians, and trusted dealers with the exceptional instruments, service, and resources they need to thrive.

Dr. William Earvin Promoted to Director of Educational Partnerships and Institutional Sales – North America
Dr. William Earvin has been promoted to Director of Strategic Educational Partnerships and Institutional Sales – North America. For the past four years, Dr. Earvin has served as Educational Support Manager for the Southeast region. William brings extensive experience in culturally diverse educational settings and currently leads Conn Selmer’s Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) Collective Community.
In his new senior leadership role, he will oversee national and regional educational partnerships, with a focus on expanding institutional sales. His work will emphasize engagement with Hispanic-serving institutions, HBCUs, urban school districts, and national advocacy organizations, while also supporting Conn Selmer’s Educational Support Managers (ESMs) to deepen institutional relationships across North America.

Adrianna Korey Promoted to Educational Support Manager – East
Adrianna Korey has been promoted to Educational Support Manager – East, covering the Northeast and Southeast regions. A dedicated member of the Conn Selmer team, Adrianna served as an Educational Support Representative for the past three years.
In this expanded role, she will continue her outstanding work with the educational community, focusing on deepening relationships and driving engagement with educators and institutions across the East Coast.

Mario Castro, Newly Appointed Educational Support Manager – West
Mario Castro joins the Conn Selmer team as Educational Support Manager for the West region, where he will focus on strengthening institutional and educational partnerships.
Mario brings 12 years of experience in public education and previously served as Director of Recruiting for the Air Force Band of the West Coast, where he was a Staff Sergeant and performed as a military musician. His leadership in both education and music makes him a valuable addition to the team.

Kristen Rencher Promoted to Director of Marketing and Communications
Kristen Rencher has been promoted to Director of Marketing and Communications, where she will lead marketing efforts that further strengthen the company’s global brand portfolio and oversee internal and external communications strategies.
Most recently, Kristen served as Marketing and Communications Manager for Band and Orchestra, overseeing digital and print content, resource development, and campaigns supporting sales, product initiatives, partnerships, sponsorships, and events.
