Conn Selmer's Commitment to American Manufacturing

Conn Selmer and its family of brands have a proud history of making musical instruments in the United States dating back to 1875. For more than 150 years, our company has evolved alongside the music stores, musicians, educators, students, and communities we serve, while maintaining a strong commitment to American manufacturing and participating in an increasingly global musical instrument industry.

Today, Conn Selmer is the largest manufacturer of band instruments in the United States. The company manufactures professional brass instruments at its headquarters in Elkhart, Indiana, including Bach, Conn, Holton, and King trumpets, trombones, cornets, flugel horns, French horns, and mouthpieces. Student and school-related instruments are inspected and play-tested in Elkhart.

The company's Monroe, North Carolina, facility manufactures educational, concert, marching, and combo percussion instruments, including "The Most Famous Name on Drums" Ludwig drum sets, timpani, concert drums, and Musser bells, chimes, marimbas, xylophones, vibraphones, and percussion accessories.

Although many of our products are manufactured in the United States, tariffs are not new to Conn Selmer. Like many American manufacturers, we have paid tariffs on imported products, components, and materials for many years while continuing to invest in U.S. manufacturing, our facilities, and our American workforce.

We recognize that trade policy is an important issue and one that extends well beyond our company and our industry. Conn Selmer's focus is on building a stable and predictable business environment in which we can make responsible long-term decisions.

For more than 150 years, Conn Selmer has adapted to changing markets while remaining firmly committed to manufacturing in the United States and serving the music community. Stability and predictability allow us to plan our investments, support our employees and business partners, manage our supply chain, and continue providing music stores, musicians, educators, and students with the quality products and customer experience they expect from Conn Selmer.
