Conn Selmer Welcomes Manuel Gamez
as Educational Support Manager for the Southwest Region

Elkhart, IN, July 14, 2025 – Conn Selmer, a global manufacturer and distributor of musical instruments, today announced the appointment of Manuel “Manny” Gamez as Educational Support Manager – Southwest to its Institutional Sales team. In this role, Mr. Gamez will focus on supporting music education programs and strengthening partnerships across the region.

Mr. Gamez brings more than 30 years of experience in public education, most recently serving as Director of Fine Arts for Pflugerville ISD in Texas. During his tenure, the district saw significant growth in its fine arts programs, characterized by increased student participation, expanded performance opportunities, and stronger community partnerships. His commitment to excellence, equity, and creativity helped cultivate a vibrant and inclusive arts culture throughout the district. Mr. Gamez’s leadership in advancing fine arts education has made a lasting impact on students, educators, and communities across Texas.

A respected leader in the field, he has served as President of the Texas Fine Arts Administrators, Chair of the UIL Executive Committee for Region 26 and Area D, and currently sits on the Board of Directors for the Bluecoats Drum and Bugle Corps. His collaborative approach and dedication to excellence have earned him recognition as both a visionary educator and a trusted colleague.
