The History of Bach
Vincent Bach's legacy as a cornet soloist began long before he became one of the world's most influential brass makers. After performing with the Austrian Navy Marine Band and touring throughout Europe as a celebrated soloist, he combined his engineering expertise with his performer's ear to create instruments that met the highest artistic and technical demands. By the 1920s, Bach's cornets earned a reputation for their colorful sound, expressive warmth, and unmatched playability, traits that continue to define them today.
When production moved to Elkhart, Indiana in 1965, the commitment to craftsmanship remained unchanged. Bach cornets deliver the color, projection, and flexibility that have made them indispensable to soloists and technical performers around the world. Nearly a century later, the Bach name continues to set the standard for cornet excellence, uniting precision, artistry, and the unmistakable Bach sound.

The History of Conn
The Conn story began in 1875, when Charles Gerard Conn, a cornet-playing civil war veteran, was inspired to enter the instrument business after a lip injury and a desire to create a more comfortable mouthpiece. He founded a small workshop in Elkhart, Indiana, and quickly extended his business to crafting brass instruments that would inspire generations of musicians. As one of America's earliest and most influential brass manufacturers, Conn quickly became known for its innovative designs and expressive tonal character, earning the nickname "America's brass house" among musicians and educators.
By the mid-20th century, Conn flugelhorns had become a staple for band directors, soloists, and professional brass players seeking a warm, lyrical voice with superior intonation. Refined over decades and designed with input from dozens of leading performers, Conn flugelhorns maintain a reputation for versatility, durability, and the classic American sound that defined generations of brass performance.
